Advanced Engineering 2026: Environmental impact assessment of electronics manufacturing

In this seminar offered to you at the Advanced Engineering 2026 event, Jana Deckers (VITO) will guide you through the environmental impact assessment and ecodesign requirements set by regulation and standards. She will introduce you to the basics of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), a methodology needed to fulfill the regulatory requirements. In a second part, Geert Willems (imec) will explain an innovative methodology for the environmental impact assessment of the manufacturing of custom-designed electronics, i.e., Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and Printed Board Assemblies (PBA).
