Electronic Assembly Technology

The course treats the technology, design and manufacturing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and the assembly of components on the PCB to manufacture an Electronic Assembly or Printed Board Assembly (PBA). The PBA is the generic building block of electronic products and systems. The course also provides the basics of electronics’ quantified quality. It provides insight into the body-of-knowledge on which the DfX guidelines and tools of the EDM Forum are based.

Required background knowledge
No specific background knowledge required. Some basic knowledge of electronics is helpful.
