Masterclass: Electronic Assembly Technology 2026

The course treats the technology, design and manufacturing of Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and the assembly of components on the PCB to manufacture an Electronic Assembly or Printed Board Assembly (PBA). The PBA is the generic building block of electronic products and systems. The course provides insight into the body-of-knowledge on which the DfX guidelines and tools of the EDM Forum are based.

• Basics of PCB Technology, manufacturing and Design-for-Manufacturing
• Basics of PBA Technology, assembly and Design-for-Assembly

4. Printed Circuits Board Design-for-Manufacturing

6. Component soldering compatibility
